One of the closest to lauriat fine dining same with dine in restaurants in Chinatown is WAH YUEN SEAFOOD RESTAURANT (which has its main branch along Escolta Street and another branch in Adriatico Street). Its specialty is fresh seafood.

This restaurant had all fresh fish, crabs, shrimps, and shells. What I mean is all are alive in the aquarium like other restaurant. .Me and Sherwin together with his mom - Mama Babe and my tito-driver , kuya Danilo went to do some scouting at Malate for our Reception Venue.   Our target is to look for hotels unfortunately most hotels that we visited were either booked or doesn't have the food choices we are lookin for. Luckily though, Sherwin suggested as our last option to visit Wah Yuen Seafood Restaurant in front of Midland Plaza, near Robinsons Department Store at Adriatico Street.  The place was great and majority of us agreed that this will be the place for the reception. Our contact person was Francis and showed us the main function room at the 2nd floor. It was a big place that can accommodate more than 300 guests, aside from that we favored the menu choices and affordable rates they have.

To give you an idea -- our menu selections include are lumpiang shanghai, sweet sour pork, crispy fried chicken, crabmeat corn soup, steam fish, yang chow fried rice, pancit canton, butchi, almond jelly and bottom less iced tea. For our principal sponsors the food courses are the same but an additional camaron rebosado will be added as a treat for their presence.
